The Circulation module is responsible for managing all aspects of lending library materials to users. It handles the complete lifecycle of a loan, from checking out an item to its return, including renewals, reservations, and managing fines or suspensions.
📄️ Loan Policy
The Loan Policy is the heart of the Circulation module. It's a comprehensive set of rules that determines who can borrow what, for how long, and under what conditions. A properly configured loan policy automates the lending process, ensures consistency, and enforces the library's regulations without manual intervention by the circulation staff.
📄️ Transactions (Loan, Return, Renewal)
With the core databases and loan policy configured, the library staff can perform the daily circulation tasks. All standard transactions are handled from a single, efficient interface within the Circulation module.
📄️ Circulation Administration
Beyond the daily transactions of loaning and returning items, the Circulation module has a dedicated Administration section for oversight, reporting, and managing the operational health of the lending service.
